Certified Athletic Trainers

Active Release Techniques is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Certified Athletic Trainers (BOC AP#P3882). This program is eligible for a maximum of 24 Category A hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spend in the educational program.

What can you expect at an ART® course?

A strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology is vital when learning and practicing ART®. It is strongly recommended that providers take time prior to the courses to study their materials and watch the DVD(s) in order to be prepared for the course itself. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will be educational days comprised of 80 percent hands-on work and 20 percent lecture. Instructors will present each protocol and then break into small groups to practice and answer questions. Testing will take place on Sunday mornings and once a provider passes the practical exam, they are considered a Certified ART® Provider.

Who can take an ART® course?

In order to participate in an Active Release Techniques® Soft-Tissue Management training course, you must be a licensed health care professional with soft-tissue malpractice insurance. In other words, you must be licensed/certified to perform soft tissue treatment on patients/clients.

Some areas of certifications include chiropractors, medical and osteopathic doctors, physical and occupational therapists and assistants, physiotherapists, massage therapists, certified athletic trainers, and students studying towards any of these certifications with proof of enrollment. Please call 888-396-2727 if you have a question in regards to certifications not listed.

Students

To be eligible for the student rate for our courses, we do require proof of enrollment.

Only students who are pursuing their first degree in a healthcare field in which they can become licensed to treat soft-tissue conditions/injuries may receive the student discount. This discount will apply for any courses that occur up to six months after graduation or certification date. Students must attend these courses within that timeframe. If a venue is changed to a date outside of that timeframe, we will ask for the difference in cost.

Please fax 719-442-1504 or scan and email your form of student verification to education@activerelease.com as soon as possible to ensure your order is processed.
